Commemorating the 16th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, SAM paid a heartfelt tribute to martyrs and soldiers of the war through an exclusive edition at Select CITYWALK, Saket on July 26, 2015.

The event was attended by esteemed members of the Indian armed forces, families of the martyrs of Kargil War and numerous youngsters. SAM brought together an array of inspiring performances under its exclusive initiative dedicated to the nation's armed forces.Team SAM visited various youth hotspots across the city, interacted with youngsters and recorded their messages for soldiers and their families. A short film was made from these messages and was screened during the event.

SAM's performing arts troupe presented a heart-riveting ballet showcasing the patriotic spirit best exemplified by the soldiers of our nation. It instilled a sense of pride within youngsters and motivated them to serve the nation in their best capacities. The ballet was followed by a pledge taking ceremony. Members of Team SAM holding fire-torch led the young audience in taking a pledge to contribute in nation building selflessly.

Mrs Namita Suhag (wife of Indian Army General Dalbir Singh Suhag) said, "I am deeply moved with these beautifully put up performances. It feels amazing to know that SAM is inspiring youngsters to contribute selflessly for the nation. You should keep up with the good work and organise more such events for the defence and armed forces of the nation. You all truly doing a magnanimous job and I wish you all the very best for your future endeavors."

Also Mrs.Tripta Thapar, Mother of Captain Vijayant Thapar (who attained martyrdom during Karguil War and was posthumously awarded Vir Chakra) said, "I would like to congratulate the selfless volunteers of SAM who are all so committed to their goal. Their altruism and dedication truly deserves a salute"

Continuing with the saga of empowerment. SAM intends to fulfill its role of inspiring more and more youngsters to join the army and to serve the nation selflessly.
